College is a time where your parents decide to let you become independent. It sounds good, until you realize that it means no more extra cash flow. You’re running out of money and have to do the most dreadful thing you can imagine… get a job. Luckily for you, here are some tips to ace that job interview.
Dress to Impress

If you look good, you feel good. Before you go to the interview, dump the t-shirt and sweatpants that you rolled out of the bed in. If you have a part-time job interview, usually a nice pair of khakis and a collared shirt will do the trick. Take the extra step and iron the pants and shirt. For ladies, a nice skirt and appropriate top with minimum cleavage will work.

Do research on the company
Be a step ahead of the game before you even walk into the interview. Knowing about the company will make it easier to answer interview questions. It will also help you get a feel for what the company is looking for in a candidate.
Use Practice Questions
If you practice answering questions it will be less likely that you will stutter or freeze during the interview. You’ll also come off as more prepared. But make sure not to memorize the answers to questions. You can come off as more as a robot than a human! Also, think of potential questions you might want to ask the employer. Be on Time

Nothing is worse than walking in late for an interview. You don’t want to be wiping off sweat from rushing right before you shake the hand of the person interviewing you. Make sure to get a good night’s rest before the day of your interview. Leave the house extra early to give yourself time to arrive at least five to ten minutes early for the interview. Calculate in time for mishaps, like that cup of coffee that was just a little too full or a traffic jam.
Be Confident
One of the most important things to have at an interview is confidence. Walk in the room with a bright smile and greet the employer with a firm handshake. And don’t be nervous, if you don’t get this job, there will be many more.
